Questions, answered

At Saddlebrook, yes. Everyone plays from the same place, so every player is in a room booked through us, and your room and your entry go on the same order. Whether a weekend needs a room is on its event page.

Not at Saddlebrook. The courts there are for resort guests only, so a player who is not staying at the resort cannot use them.

From Feb 1, 2027, changes to rooms and squads go through us. Write to info@slamtournaments.com.

Tennis Slam is a women's doubles tournament weekend at a resort. You come with a squad of eight, or we build you one, play five guaranteed matches from Friday through Super Sunday, and spend the rest of the weekend on the beach, at the spa or wherever the group text decides. All skill levels are welcome and no rating is required.

No-ad scoring for each game, and the receiver chooses which side for the deciding point. A 7-point tiebreaker at 6 all in sets one and two. The third set is a 10-point tiebreaker.

Honestly, maybe too much. You play 3 matches on your first day with about an hour and a half of rest between them. Depending on where you are in the bracket you could play 2 to 5 matches on the second day. If your squad earns Super Sunday you start in the semifinals and play 1 or 2 matches.

Super Sunday is the finale: the top four squads play the semifinals and the final. It only takes one pair. If a pair from your squad wins her flight, your whole squad of eight is back in. If a matchup ties at two matches each, the best finishing pair from each squad plays a 10-point tiebreaker to decide who advances.

No rating needed, and nobody gets thrown in with players two levels up. Your squad ranks its four pairs, Line 1 down to Line 4, and each line only plays the same line from other squads. Then Friday sorts you by results: your first match is the only blind draw, and after that you play pairs with the same record as you.

No. We gladly welcome all players and levels, and playing with us does not affect any rating you have. This is vacation tennis.

Players must be 21 and over.

We provide the balls. Bring your racquet and your partner.

We delay or shorten matches to get every match in, and the bracket keeps moving. If the weekend goes ahead and rain shortens play, there are no partial refunds.

If your opponents do not show, you win the match and keep your court time as a hit. If your pair cannot play a match, you take the loss and stay in the bracket for the next one. Nobody is sent home.

At Saddlebrook, Slam covers the resort fee and the room tax. The price you see for your room is the price you pay for the room.

You can cancel by Feb 9, 2027 for a full refund minus a $20 fee. Details are on the event page.

Yes. Leave your email on the event page and you hear first when the next weekend opens.

Three ways in: sign up with a full squad, with a partner, or on your own. We fill every squad to eight, and if you pair up with a friend, you two play together as a doubles pair the whole weekend. Once your squad fills to eight you claim a team identity.

Parking is yours. At Saddlebrook, valet parking is $30 a night, or $12 for the day if you are only visiting.

There is a social at the courts on Thursday evening to meet your squad and get some fun play in. No one is required until Friday, 15 minutes before your first match.
